If you want to have sex with him, and he says yes, feel free to go ahead(within certain limits). But if he prefers not, don't become offended. Respect his boundaries and try to take it slow. My point is that it is okay to love someone a lot older or younger than you as long as you respect the boundaries they set. It should be the same with him. Remember, relationships have limits. 13 is too young to be dating a 17 year old...you're just entering into a new phase of your life that he's been in for a few years. when the next few years he'll be going through many new things like graduating HS and going off to work or college. It's a completely different lifestyle. It will not work out and the only thing you'll get out of it is heartache. These laws are made for a reason..which vary by state. I would find out what they are in your area because in my area a 15 yr old girl can date 17 yr old guy or 16 yr old girl can date 18 yr old guy... anything more than that parents can press charges if sex occurs. Not worth it..wait to date....if you decide to date, meet someone closer to your age. that's too much of a spread at the age you're at.

Ummm...if he's 17 and 4yrs older than you, that makes you about 13? The age difference between the 2 of you now is massive. You are way too young to be dating a guy who's about to graduate high school and you are probably in the 7th or 8th grade. He is way too old for you and you are way too naive to be dating him. When he turns 18 he will be an adult and it will be illegal for him to be with you - which means he could go to jail. Do yourself a favor and leave him alone and find someone your own age. If it's meant to be between the two of you, then when you are 18 you guys can hook up.
