yup its fine and i bet your dog is in fact neutered. these are 2 little guys who, when your dog is having intercourse allow him to 'tie' with a female. if you've ever heard of two dogs mating and getting stuck together this is what people are refering to: tieing. this little bump expands a little bit when a male is in a female and allows for more sucssesful mating.

Without actually looking at your dogs penis... I can only guess that the bump that you're talking about is the bump where when a dog mates that the bump gets bigger... it turns into 2 BUMPS and when the dog mates that it ties inside the female... This prevents the penis to slip outside the females area.. The tie can last up to 40 mins.

Yes, it is normal. I have had neutered male dogs in the past. When they get excited or are stretching/just waking up, sometimes they get large hard bumps in the shaft area of their penis. I have seen many dogs with this so I would say it's normal. It is not testicles.

how old is your dog? My pup has the same exact problem. He had one testicle descended and the other still somewhere, so I thought it was that, then a few days later, his other nut descended, BUT the bump was still next to his pecker. I waited a few more days and it was gone. Like the hard bump had never even been there. give it a week or so to see if it will go away on its' own; othewise, off to the vet.

Your best bet is to call your Vet. We had a dog with a lump as you describe. It turned out to be a malignant tumor and had to be removed. Don't want to scare you but a growth of any kind is nothing to over look. I hope this doesn't turn out to be so serious. The sooner you check into it, the better chances for your dog. Good luck.

It is probably a granunoma. Some human men get this condition after they get a vasectomy. It would be a safer bet if you took the dog to the vet to make sure that it is not something else.

It's not a testicle, it could either be a hernia or a zit, something simple like that. Just like you wouldn't grow an arm back, your dog isn't growing a nut back.
