If so, would he be an abomination against mankind as a cloned human being? Would this be the second coming of the Messiah?

That would be sweet. The cloned sheep could be his followers - just like now!!

HA HA HA HA HA... Check that out - londonhawk ALREADY making excuses for when Jesus just turns out to be regular dude with an inflated ego.

Hey over here, over here, I'm the son of god. To prove it to you - I will make the sun disappear every night. Now give me 10% of your income or suffer ETERNAL DAMNATION IN HELL!!!!! Checks, credit cards, or money orders are accepted

Of course they could, clone that body that is. But not his Soul/Spirit/essence, that part that came from God, as with any of us. We are souls living in our temporary bodies to learn how to live, love, forgive etc, all those beautiful lessons that Jesus tried to teach us, and until we get it, like hime, we get to keep coming back here in a body to do it over again, but then again, this is only my opinion. As to the other parts of your question, because Jesus was not his body, this would not be an abomination, and also not the second coming

No, it wouldnt be the second coming because there hasnt been a first coming of the messiah. Look up the messianic prophecy and see if Jesus fufills it. He doesnt. Jesus is not the messiah, there hasnt been the messiah yet. As far a cloning Jesus, thats just wierd.

Assuming we actually had the technology that would be required, sure. But we're not quite there yet. We cloned a sheep, yes, but we needed a live ovum (egg cell) to do it. Aside from that, nothing would stop us from doing it, no. He may be a bit touched in the head (if the whole son of god thing was caused by a genetic mental disorder, and not one acquired from his upbringing) but other than that I think he'd just be.. well, like any other guy.

Physically it would be like a twin but it would not share the same soul or divinity of Christ. It would not be the second coming of the Messiah.

They would be able to clone his form, not his spirit. So, his human form would be just like any normal individual, without any special powers or abilities.
