Along time on that plan.

Try doing not only crunches, but other abdominal exercises when you workout, that way all of your abs are being exercised, and not just one group. A good combination is situps, torso twists, leg raises, and stomach sucks.

Not to mention, you need to lose a large quantity of body fat over all before you lose the flab on the stomach. If you only work out your abs, then you will just be enlarging the muscle wich will just push out the fat even further, leaving very little ab to be seen.

How do I lose overall body fat? Well just type it in the search engine on answers and you will get plenty of good rsults, just ignore all the ones that encourage poor eating habbits like starvation or ultra low carb and and avoid over exercising.

If you've only been working your abs for three days now, then you shouldn't be working them every day, but rather gradually from once a day with two days in between (48hrs. recovery), then like an every other day or 3 times a week deal (24 hrs. recovery), and maybe once your ab workouts are seeming fairly easy after adding resistance, changing routines, and adding repetitions, then you can go ahead and work them out everyday and you will see beautiful results, but doing that now will just slow down improvement.

3 major steps:

1) Eat 5-7 healthy meals with plenty of water
2) Get 7-9 hrs. sleep a night (if not, then get plenty of rest)
3) Exercise the body as a whole by doing cardio for 20 to 50 minutes a day at least 3 times a week, as well as exercise each muscle group twice a workout, maybe twice per week.

Then, it may come even before 6 weeks.

Well it depends upon your diet and workout time both. Stop eating junk food, in dinner take less carbohydrates(bread or rice) for a 15 days and do at least 50-60 crunches and sit ups every night. and you will get good result from it within 15 days

You will notice a difference in the way you feel (you will feel more athletic and energetic and feel more in-shape) within about two weeks. To actually notice, visually, it will take about 3 months; however, if you are just persistent, those 3 months will go by quickly, and you will be VERY happy, and once you've gained it, it takes A LOT LESS to maintain it. After about the 4 month mark, you'll only have to do sit ups about once or twice each week to maintain the gains. good luck.

-----------------------------------------
but, only work out every-other night - your body needs time to repair itself!!! Professional weightlifters, although they workout 6days a week, workout different muscles each day, and allow each muscle set to repair and heal for about 2-3days, which means they workout that muscle every other day, or every 3 days (but they are going for BIG gains in STRENGTH - you aren't when it comes to sit ups). Also, vary your exercises; don't do only situps - get a fitness magazine that shows different stomach workouts - at the bookstore. You'll grow a lot faster that way.

It really all depends on your diet....the dreaded low calorie high protein (lean) and veggie diet! If you are not concerned about your diet and CARDIO then you can forget seeing anything other than feeling sore. But.......if you already chose a healthy diet paired with atleast 30min of Cardio then expect results in anywhere from a month to 3 months. be patient ab warrior......the crunch is with you! Don't forget rest up, take a day off in between

Unless you are doing something else besides just crunches and sit ups you feel a difference but it won't be visible. Your stomach will get stronger, but you will need to also do something to lose fat as well. Otherwise you will just have a tone tummy under fat.

Isn't it impossible to spot train? If your doing the sit ups and crunches to lose your stomach, that is spot training and it is not possible. You have to lose your overall body fat before you can see results. Ex: Six Packs.

2-3 wks. Exercise every 2 days in order for your body to repair post exercise muscle micro-damge that is necessary for buildup. You'll get the big muscles that much quicker.

At least a month. Besides stop eating empty carbs. like bread, pies and cakes they go straight to your stomach and its hard to get rid of.
