Too late for the pricing, was hoping for some "bidding frenzy" as suggested. Thanks though

Don't listen to these people. How could you expect to find people with good aesthetic taste on a web site where people ask stupid questions and give even stupider answers? Of course, I keep saying this and then I keep coming back here myself :)

Anyway, I don't know much about marketing paintings. I don't make art to sell personally. But I say, anyone who doesn't at least smile at that painting is too stuck-up.

Since I was an art dealer for 10 years (after graduating college and before the banking career) here are some suggestions:
1. Since it's your artwork, tell a story. Americans, generally speaking, need stories to purchase an artwork.
2. You need biographical information about the artist and their history. Any show experience whatsoever, even if as a student or in a charity show, is helpful to list in your biographical information.
3. Show more work and refer to those URLs so people hit your eBay sales site more often by looking at more artwork.

I'm just not sure that the two parts, the torso and the possum head go together...why a possum?? I can handle the nudity but the head kind of ruins it, I think..sorry if you are the artist, but you asked...some art is supposed to shock you, but this....hmmmmm....just not sure about it at all. No, I guess it doesn't look ok to me. It's like putting a cute cat head on a naked adult body. Too "cute" for the rest of it.
Plus, starting it at 15 cents dooms it. If you feel strongly about it, start it at a fair price. When people see it priced so low they assume that there is something wrong with it.
You can change the price and anything else as long as there are no bids on it.

I suggest putting your work on www.absolutearts.com

you can post 4 images free along with an artist statement.

Don't sell your work for 15 cents. That just devalues art everywhere.

I not entirely sure that it's my thing, but I personally thought that there was a bizarre appeal to it. I sort of liked it, I wouldn't have it hanging up in my house, but I can understand the people that would. It was surreal and original, two of my favourite things!

I think it looks fine!

Not much to critque since ebay pretty much establishes the format. Can you ask the question in a different way?

that is awesome. my advice- paint 20 more and take the best 5 to a local gallery. good luck. you're an original.

oh yeah, also, you better stop calling it surrealism. figure out a new name for it because surrealism is something that happened last century. make it sound more contemporary.

It would look nice and original in some naughty club or a sex museum so that people freak out
