It's probably postpartum depression. Lots of new moms get that.

Sounds like your doctor needs to adjust the medication level to your Post-Baby needs... have your meds checked and adjusted. (Feeling Tired is normal, and so is a certain amount of "overwhelmed", but SAD is not... so Don't let them tell you that there is not a problem.) Ask nicely the first time, but if he blows you off, or you feel he's telling you that you will be fine without adjustments to your meds, then REPEAT yourself right then. and Don't be nice at all the second time. Tell him that you wouldn't have mentioned it if it didn't bother you, and that Just because you aren't a doctor, doesn't mean you don't know when something is wrong with yourself... And find another doctor if this one will not take your input seriously. After all, your childs safety and future depend on YOU being able to take care of her/him as well as yourself. you both deserve the best care that you can find... Keep trying, Your doing fine so far....

This is called postpartum depression. Researchers aren’t sure what causes postpartum depression, but think that the dramatic shifts in hormone levels during pregnancy and immediately afterward may result in chemical changes in the brain leading to the condition. Postpartum depression affects 10-15% of women any time from a month to a year after childbirth. Women with postpartum depression may feel restless, anxious, sad or depressed. They may have feelings of guilt, decreased energy and motivation, and a sense of worthlessness. They may also have sleep difficulties and undergo unexplained weight loss or gain. Some mothers may worry about hurting themselves or their baby. In extremely rare cases—less than 1% of new mothers—women may develop something called postpartum psychosis. It usually occurs within the first few weeks after delivery. Symptoms may include refusing to eat, frantic energy, sleep disturbance, paranoia and irrational thoughts. Women with postpartum psychosis usually need to be hospitalized. Women treated with antidepressant medicines and talk therapy usually show marked improvement. Ask your health care provider to recommend a therapist or support groups that can help.

Yes call your Dr. right away the sooner the better. They can help you. You could be feeling better almost immediately so don't put it off. Be honest & tell them exactly how you've been feeling.
Alot of women have emotional ups & downs after giving birth its OK ,...but only if you get help.
When you ask for an appointment ask for the soonest 1 available. Let the person know it's important to be seen asap.
9 months of feeling this way is long enough it's time to get well and enjoy motherhood.
Good Luck!!!!

Could be hormones. Could be that a new baby takes all your energy! You need to get help. Ask friends and family members to watch the baby for a while so that you can take a break.

DON'T ever take it out on your child.

you're probably still suffering from postpartum depression. this happens and there's no time limit on it.

please discuss this with your doctor and you partner or family or friends....whoever your support system is. they need to be able to help you in case you get really sad and depressed.
we all get overwhelmed and carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.....however, some of us are a little worse than others. so, please use your support system. there's no shame in asking for help.

maybe you could have someone watch your baby while you go do something for you.
whether it's:
-nails done
-hair done
-shopping
-even go to a motel and sit in bed and watch TV or read a book.....

just get some alone time for yourself so you can recharge.

take care darlin!

Post partum depression is real, and can last for a long time. Maybe try giving Junior to grandma a couple times a week and hitting the gym? The endorphins certainly wouldn't hurt.

Yes. See an endocrinologist. You might have a permanent or semi-permanent hormone imbalance.
