Is it rude to repeatedly refer to someone's first-born child as the spawn of Satan?

Depends on the context. If both people have a good sense of humor, then no. If it is done maliciously, or if the PARENT is offended, then yes. If someone other then the parent is offended...it doesn't matter.

No matter what, though, if the person doing the referring is asked politely to please stop, and they persist, then yes. it is rude.

Who r u to tell someone that they r the spawn of Satan. just by calling someone that immediately makes it obvious that u r the real spawn of Satan

It is rude if you kept saying that in front of the child's parents, yes. But, if this child is a remarkable pain in the a-s-s and everyone else knows it, too, then I see nothing wrong with calling them that.
I work for a school district and, trust me, there are a lot of little psychos running around. I usually say to myself that they are the "Devil's advocates in training". LOL

Absolutely. There is nothing positive to be gained from this form of emotional/verbal abuse.

It is an attempt to blame the child for the wrongs done by the father.

dunno...but we call my second born a menace...and since my hubby's middle name is Damian..we sometimes say he is the spawn of Satan too...haha..but really..not their first born cause people take offense..

And it's perfectly ok to let the little brat know that.
