Can anyone recommend a home product for whitening the teeth that actually works. I've tried some and they seem to be an expensive waste of money.

I have used Rapid White, 3 stage kit and it was absolutly fantastic, If your from the uk you can buy it from Boots. But I really recommend it. My teeth were bright white in a matter of days (i'm a smoker and I drink coke alot)

Most over the counter whitening products are a waste of money because they are difficult to use properly to get great results. The best that I have found are the Crest Whitestrips but it is better if you can get the whitening trays made at your dentist office. They are good until you have any major work done on your teeth (where the tray wouldn't fit anymore) and all you need to buy is the replacement whitening gel when you run out of the gel you get with the trays. In the long run it is much less expensive than all the over the counter whitening agents and much more effective!

I have used whitening strips, the at home light-brighting system ( i bought from an infomericial), and just recently the two hour whitening gel by rembrant. The one that seemed to work the best for me was the light system i bought from TV, however, the results weren't as drastic as I had hoped, only a shade or two difference, But it only took 2-4 hours to complete so i didn't have to commit a month to get results.

Hi there, they are a waste of money. With the money you are spending on those products, you could go get your teeth professionally whitened by a dentist. It is only about $100-$200. Worth every penny!! =)

Hello! I have used the Crest Day and Night effects and it works pretty well. One you use during the day, and one you use right before you go to bed. They come in a container that looks like white-out, believe it or not. I noticed a difference in about a week, but I was using both of them at the same time. Hope that helps!

Sometimes discolored teeth are caused by an imbalance in nutrition. I used to have a few dark stains in hard to brush areas until I added protein supplements to my diet (for other reasons). Then slowly over a couple months, the stains disappeared. I didn't change anything else.

I once met a gypsy who had the whitest teeth ever. When I asked the secret he said 'bleach'. He put a bit on his finger and rubbed it on his teeth. Amazingly he is strill alive. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS.i
