Yes, he/she would have to physically show up, with lots of witnesses, maybe hold a press conference, perform some miracles... A 50 cent tour of heaven would be nice, and maybe a peek at hell. And then sit down with me and answer my questions. He/she's got some 'splainin to do.

There is a feeling, and this feeling develops into an idea, and this idea is explored, and then proof or lack thereof is discerned.
Copernicus had a feeling that the earth was not at the center of our solar system. This feeling developed into the idea that the sun was at the center and that the planets revolved around it. Copernicus then set about to exploring his idea by observing the heavens and creating models and so forth, to eventually prove that the sun was at the center.
In other words, in the beginning is the feeling, not the proof. Before the proof comes the idea or the concept.
It is feelings and ideas that lead us to seek. When we SEEK, then we may find proof or lack thereof.
But if we are looking for proof FIRST, we have got it all bass ackwards. We are looking for certainty before we are willing to undergo the search.
The point is TO SEEK. Seeking is spurred by thinking and feeling. Seeking is not spurred by proof.
If there were proof of all things, there would be nothing to discover.
God gives proof after you seek him. If you never begin the search, you will never get that proof.
How does he prove it? He proves it to the heart and soul. These things must be open in order for the proof to arrive therein. If the head is going around asking for proof while the heart and soul are closed, one will find nothing. God speaks to the heart and soul. After he has spoken there, he clears the head, so that the light of intelligence may shine as it was intended. But one cannot reach God through the intellect alone.
God did show up, and people told you. He showed up on earth a couple of millennia ago, and people spread the word. If you do not believe the testimony of others, then so be it. But they certainly gave their testimony.
Seek and ye shall find, my good brother.

We know for a fact (because of evidence) that during WW2 many Jews were killed in concentration camps. We have PROOF. Yet with all that proof you still have people say that it never happened. Why is that? Some people don't want to believe even when the proof is all around them. Look at the richman that wanted to follow Jesus and would not give up his possessions. He SAW Jesus perform miracles. There will never be proof enough for some people.

My standard of proof is from several points -
1) To look at the marvelous creation and see the intelligence behind it. The order and precision with which it operates. The variety of different forms of life (plant and animal).
And, after that....
2) to see the working out of the prophecies that he gave - do they come true and how accurate.
3) how far would God go for us, to help us.
4) Despite those who give him a bad name by their actions and changing what he really says, how does he show that he truly cares about us and that he is involve with his creation.
@ The list could go on from my standpoint.

I don't know what I would find convincing. I would be more inclined to think someone was pulling an elaborate prank than to think it really was god.
But it doesn't matter. If there is a god, and this god is all powerful and all knowing, and if it wants me to believe in it, then IT knows what it needs to do to convince me.
Something undeniable that couldn't be faked would probably work, like regrowing all the limbs of amputees, curing genetic and chromosomal anomalies across the world, etc.

Fair enough. What proof:
Testable hypothesis. Experimentation that prove those hypothesis. Peer review of the conduct of the experiment and replication of the experiment.
OR
In prepositional logical calculus, any formal proof of the existence of a God.

That's a hard one to answer because really in today's society if someone walked up to you and said I'm God or I'm Jesus ones first thought may very well be that they just escaped from Bellvue..
At this point, I don't know what would be concrete proof to me; however if someone else has it yes I'd like to hear about it.

This one is for everybody: God does exist even if He never sent you an email!I find it hard too to believe in anything that is not proven beyond any doubt, but I really feel that He does exist. And not because my Grannie or the priest told me so, but because He lets me realize His presence in my life every day!
Do not confuse the church with God! The movie "Stigmata" puts it beautifully:"The kingdom of God is within you and all around you/Not in buildings of wood or stone...."

You know like that Bruce Almighty movie, he'd have to do something like give me phenomenal cosmic powers for a day. Phone calls and email could easily be impersonated. And I'd look to a rational explanation first rather than attribute it to God. And if that happened, I don't expect others to believe on my word alone. He'd have to do that for each and every non-believer.

If God shows up in your life, then just enjoy it. Let his strength envelope you with love and life ever after. Blessing and wishing good will to all the others around you. Feel better?
Just remember you gotta get up and go to work the next day to support his church. It's all about the money.
