Mouth ulcers are from infection or bacteria and are common when the immune system is off kilter, which is what mono is. I assume you trust the doctor who diagnosed him - the ulcers are probably causing the fever - it's his body fighting the infection, which is more difficult for him since his immune system is down. Call the doctor and ask him just to be sure, but worrying doesn't accomplish anything. Get an educated answer from his doctor or, if you are really worried, go to your local Emergency Room.

He'll be just fine. It's a viral infection, so it just has to run it's course and get out of his system with the antibiotics he's taking. An adult fever isn't dangerous until it's over 105, just wait it out, he's gonna be okay.

I would definitly follow the advice of Blue Eyes and get him into ER.

I'd take him to the ER. That doesn't sound too good.
