They are generally starting to stand around three months and completely up between 5 and 9. Don'y worry as long as they're starting they'll go up. If they're still totally flat, by say, six months, contact the breeder or a trainer or vet to help you tape them. It doesn't hurt, just looks silly. They'll wrap them around a toilet paper tube or half a paper cup or someuch to give them a boost.
enjoy your puppy

People normally pinch or glue the ears of their dogs to make them look more aggressive, German Shepard puppies ears are not naturally upright.

I just read that the general consensus is that if a GSD's ears don't go up on their own by 7 months, they may never go up. Some people glue or tape them up at a young age! Crazy, lol.

Pretty much when they want to, lol. Some will say a specific time period, but my friend's boyfriend had a GSD who's ears didn't stand up until he was nearly 2. I always heard it was supposed to happen before then.

They are usually up by 16 weeks. If they are not then you need to tape the ears.

Some GSD ears have to be taped. If you want to be sure they will be up as an adult like they are supposed to, tape them. If you do not know how to do it, contact a GSD breeder or go to a dog show and talk to them.
