Well some cats and dogs get on quite well but others dont. For example, my cat and dog dont really get on, Shona (a border collie) always tries to round up the cat and the cat doesnt like that. So I suppose it depends on the cat and dogs relationship outside of the washing machine. If they are friendly, then why not wash them together? Im sure a fun time will be had by all.
Hope your not serious.

This is a toughie. I don't have a cat, but every time I give the dog a bath I get hair on all my stuff for the next week, so make sure you offer to do all your wife/girlfriend's washing for her.
The dog'll be cool if you just let him drip-dry. Put the cat in the microwave.

make sure you dont use a high heat setting otherwise they shrink, we put our white dog on at 95 degrees and he know fits our pocket,
i would reccomend putting water wings on the dog as well as goggle as they can have trouble keeping up right,
i would put the cat on seperate if he is a different colour to avoid staining either animal,
finally hang out to dry, avoid the drier as this causes baulbling

Should have put them in together, help the environment by cutting down on waste of two wash cycles.
Just tie their tails together over the line and save on the electric of the dryer !lol

Better pray the PETA people don't read this. You could have a serious problem on your hands. Dogs and Cats in a washing machine and possibly in the dryer...hmm...I just have 5 words for you....DON'T FORGET THE FABRIC SOFTENER.

What is wrong with you people?
Don't you own a dishwasher? As if you could get both in the washing machine at the same time...

hang them to dry, drier uses too much electricity, saves you some money. You'll need the extra money when paying your fine for animal cruelty.

Right...
Actually I got in between a cat and dog yesterday, got a pretty nasty scratch across my palm. Better seperate.
The dryer should be fine.
