Call your local pet shelter. They always have kittens or cats.

Did you try looking on http://www.craigslist.org click on "pets" (upper left hand side of the page). There are always postings on there about free pets.

If that doesn't work you can always adopt a kitten from a local shelter, humane society, spca, etc. Thats where I got my kittens from. They had like rooms full of kittens. And usually the adoption fee is very low too.

Goodluck!

Ask around where you work. Check the classified ads in your newspaper. Sometimes pet shops give kittens away if you buy the stuff to go along with them. Check Petsmart and get a rescue cat. They cost about $70.00 but are neutered and sometimes declawed, so you would be spared that expense. I got a beautiful white Persian at Petsmart.

Try these adoption websites:

petfinder.com
pets911.com
1-800-save-a-pet.com

Most of these sites let you search for a kitten based on your city name and zip code.

You can also post a "wanted" ad on freecycle.org and see if anyone locally has a kitten to give you.

If you pay money for a cat you will be more likely to look after it. That's why people don't give them away, or shouldn't.

They are amazing creatures and the more you give to them the more you get back

Take care of it and call it Molly in respect of mine who died 2 years ago.

I don't know about where you're at, but I'm always seeing "free kittens to good homes" ads in my local paper.

You need to look in local newpapers or those lil papers you find in your local grocery stores, they usually have ads for free kittens.
