Ah...this sounds like the pick & mix rights of 'christians' (and pseudo ones)...or as one said 'cherry picking'. Nothing like a bit of Romans or Leviticus to read to people who indeed are enjoying life.

Well for starters I don't eat seafood, but I do believe in what the Bible says. For one we are not bound by the laws of Moses we are bound by the law of Christ. Read Galations 3, pretty much the whole chapter. It talks about how the old law served as a guide until Jesus was come. He came to fulfill the old law(Matt. 5:17) The old testament still serves as an example so we don't make the same mistakes those in the old Testament did. But we are bound by the law of Christ (The new testament). And yes lying is a sin, and a sin is a sin, and everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God. And just because you are gay, I don't hate you, because you are to love everyone. However I do pray for all those who are lost. That is those who are living in sin and have not done what the Bible teaches to so to be saved.
Hear, Romans 10:17
Believe John 11:25
Repent Acts 2:38
confess Matthew 10:32
Baptism:Acts 2:38
Live faithfully James 1:12, Romans 2:10, and James 2:26 and a ton more.
What you should be concerning yourself with is not what people think, but what God has said. Read and study your Bible.

I find that it is pretty pointless to argue against people who hold a religious reasoning for their stance on an issue. This is because religion assigns meaning to things which originate outside of the reality that we live in. And that is exactly how religious people rationalize... outside of reality; making them essentially irrational. And any intelligent person knows that trying to rationalize with someone who is irrational is impossible. That and the fact that many people just use their religion as a justification to perpetuate bigotry and intollerance. Many of these ideas are socially indoctrinated into people through religion, and since they are convinced that their religion cannot be wrong and that they wouldn't possibly misinterpret anything then they must inherently be right.

And I would like to remind everyone who is religious that God does love homosexuals, regardless of if you believe he approves of homosexuality. God loves everyone. So stop treating them like less of a person just because you have the deluded notion that their sin is greater than yours. Judge not lest ye be judged.

This is Jewish dietary law. Kosher. Once again proving that Christians just love to cherry-pick between the texts of the old and new testaments. Madness. Choose fer cryin' out loud!

The scriptures referenced are that of the Old Testament law. The same law that forbid any man from shaving his beard hair. (Leviticus 19:27). But we shave, so are we sinning? No, Matthew 5:17 quotes Jesus as saying "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Therefore, we are saved by grace. Following the old testament law would mean that many of us would be subject to stoning. So, if you want to believe this start gathering your rocks and hurl them at each other. But remember what Jesus said, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone..." Are any of you without sin?

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!

Why follow every single thing in the Bible, just because I am Christian? It is no secret that some parts of the Bible contradict, so knowing my God I have to use my own judgement to decide what I believe he would want me to live by.

I believe I shouldn't judge people (including homosexuals) but if I decided to follow the part that said they are unclean, why should you tell me what other parts I should follow?

I understand you are making a stand against intolerance, but must you make fun of tolerant people at the same time?

Sorry bud, this shrimp rule doesn't apply to us. God was talking to Moses and the Israelites, NOT the entire human race. Notice that He says in verse 21 of Deuteronomy: "You may give it to an alien living in any of your towns, and he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner." WE, being foreigners, and not of the original bloodline of Israelites, CAN eat shrimp. Its like how some Jewish only eat Kosher; because God directed that group of people to do so. Plus, shrimp and seafood are full of bacteria, because they feed on the ocean floor where all the fish's fecal matter goes. So really God did them a favor.

I WIN!

Here we go again ... I wish I had a dollar for every time I've explained this to folks like you, no offense.

Old Testament prohibitions on certain types of food are superceded and replaced by new teachings in the New Testament.

But Old Testament prohibitions on homosexuality are not superceded or replaced by anything in the New Testament.

Follow me so far?

For instance, Leviticus (OT) tells us that homosexuality is a sin.

Paul's letter to the Romans (NT) also speaks of homosexuality -- in the first chapter, to be precise.

What does it say about homosexuality? Pretty much the same thing that Leviticus says.

So ... your argument is easily debunked because in one case we're talking about teachings that have been "updated" -- but in the other case (prohibitions on homosexuality) wwe're talking about teachings that are being upheld and reaffirmed.

Uh you're comparing apples to oranges. Jesus declared all foods clean. We can eat whatever we want, but both the old and new testament tell us that whatever sin we comit sexually is a sin against our own bodies. Read Romans, 1& second corinthians. Have a brain.

kk yeahhhhh um that really didn't answer my ipc question what u put but let me tell u here- I have nothing against u! ok? i dont support u, but im not going to try to convert u to normal. heres some advice tho, read the bible and accept that jesus died on the cross for ur sins. then im sure u will do fine. if u are saved, then ur clear. if u do get saved, maybe jesus will change ur heart, but the main thing is to believe and recieve that jesus died on the cross for your sins.

That has got to be THE stupidest thing I have ever seen! Lucky for me I don't believe in god, because I love shell fish. But, I still believe that homosexuality is an abomination to humanity! Protect the human race! No same sex marriages or relationships! Without man and woman together the human race will wither and die! And if that happens what would be the point in homosexuality? Because even you queers won't exist!
