Brent F ~
Hello and thank you for another good match up, although neither of these two guys ever appealed to me, it's hard to deny their great boxing ability. Ray although he showboated way too much was a very gifted fighter who had proven himself time and time again. Benitez, Duran, Hearns and Hagler he beat them all one of those in my opinion was questionable (Hagler) that alone should answer your question, when Ray lost against Terry Norris, Ray was shot thus explaining his lopsided loss, but he went out fighting. Floyd hasn't fought the caliber of guys that Ray did. Floyd's victories have pretty much been so one-sided and he really hasn't been tested. I think that Ray would stop Floyd in the later rounds, 11 or 12 reason being is they would both showboat so much it would be a horrible fight until Ray decided to get down to business and fight, The speed would be like no other fight before, The egos would raise the roof but the outcome would be the "Pretty Boy" being helped off the floor by his corner-men. I like this match Brent, it would make for great TV. I was just wondering, How long do you think each one of their ring entrances last?

Leonard - W 36 (KO's 23) TF 40 - W pct 90% - KO pct 58% - wins Hearns, Duran{2}, Benitez and Hagler - KO'ed by Camacho (which proves the benefits of staying retired) - #9 ranked fighter - Gold medal in 1976 Olympics at Lt Welter wt.
Retired early because of eye injury
He made too many come backs
Held titles at 147, 154, 160, 168 and 175

F. Mayweather - W 36 (KO's 24) TF 36 - W pct 100% - KO 67% - wins over D. Corrales, Z. Judah, A. Gatti and S. Mitchell - KO'ed by none
Won Bronze Olympic medal in 1996
As of 2004 #2 ranked current pound 4 pound fighter
Titles at 130, 135, 140 and 147

Mayweather is moving up in wt class. Both are world class fighters and athletes. In all the pre-fight hype, Leonard calls Mayweather a coward so that he can psyche Mayweather to go toe-to-toe with him. This fight goes 15 rds with Leonard winning a unanimous decision (Leonard goes for a KO with every punch and in every rd). Mayweather's tremendous heart is the only thing that stops him from getting KO'ed.

Great boxing question Brent F! I believe this would be a classic boxing match between two enormously gifted boxers. Both have exceptional hand speed and I believe Leonard would have the edge in power. Man you are talking about two big egos too! There would probably be some grandstanding and showboating in this contest but then it would settle down to who has the best skills and most desire to win. I believe this would be an even match for about 9 rounds until Leonard catches him with some strong punches in about the 11th round ending the fight by TKO.
