Anyone having kids that they cannot properly support is irresponsible.

It is irresponsible, because the kids are the ones who suffer. What i don't agree with is the fact that many of the answers say that our tax dollars are supporting them. The fact is, welfare checks do not just keep getting bigger everytime you have a child. There is a limit to the number of kids you can receive public assistance for. The intent of the 1996 reforms was to reduce the use of welfare by non-citizens. The reforms were successful...

I think it's irresponsible for anyone to have seven children if they can't support them, not just the illegal aliens. Children are born in the world everyday to parents who can't afford them. This defiantly isn't just a illegal alien problem, this is a world problem.
I agree people need to do everything legal if they want to move to the United States, but it's unbelievable how many Americans won't admit that even if we got rid of every illegal alien, there is still a huge problem with our welfare system and many Americans do take advantage of it at the expense of the rest of us. I have seen these women that get pregnant over and over and they sit on the butt's collecting a welfare check each month, food stamps, free medical. We have elderly people out there that have worked their whole lives and now as they get older, they have fallen on hard times, yet the welfare system isn't designed for them. It's designed for people who do nothing to improve their lives and are rewarded for it! I'm not saying that every person on welfare is lazy and worthless. There is nothing wrong with getting help if you need it, but you shouldn't depend on the system to pay you for having kid after kid and not trying to make life better for you and your children.
It's very simple, if you can't afford a child, then don't bring one into the world. And if do have a child and you fall on hard times, get the help you need to improve your life and get out of the system, and make sure you don't have more kids until you can pay for them on your own.

One of the main problems with the hugely disproportionate size of illegal Mexican population is that they come in such large numbers. They changed the face of our society and then they reproduce and put more pressure on resources that are already dwindling. Gas, Water, Electricity, Natural Gas. They don't want to learn English and this is a major drawback for them and us.
The combination of large numbers, being Cathlic and from a culture where having 10 kids to take care of you in your old age (a form of retirement for the poor) is the norm and plan is one of the many reasons we as Americans should stop this illegal invasion of immigrants from Mexico.
Legal immigration is controlled and screened and documented with assurances of patriation to our country. Anything less is a death knell to American culture and our way of life.

Yes very irresponsible. I can't blame them though, this problem is much worse in Eastern Europe..... Like in Romania, their president or king or whatever tells them that the're suppose to be having children, and I believe they're all die hard catholics too. And look at them now, the HIGHEST number of orphans in the world..... kids are living in the streets alone.... the number of child a Romanian woman has is much higher than Mexico. Sad.

It is not that they can not support the kids, The kids are the ones who support the parents, why? Because we pay taxes every year dollars and dollars and they get everything for free and get support from the government as more kids they have as more they drink, as more they do not work... They are no irresponsible, they are living of this country and they will take this country to the bankrupt... I said...

It is irresponsible and very unfortunate for the children who will likely endure a childhood of poverty and helplessness.

That goes for anyone who cannot afford to have children, but do so anyway. (not just illegals)

Yes, it's irresponsible...but it is more irresponsible for the United States to allow US citizens to remain in the custody of those who openly break US law and steal US tax dollars.

Yes. It has nothing to do with being illegal, legal, whatever. I wouldn't call it child abuse because its kind of unpractical and ridiculous to tell people how many kids they should be having because that is their business and their business only, but it is a bad decision.

If you can't support your children, you shouldn't be having any.

I think it is irresponsible but it is insensitive to tell people these days not to have kids if they can't afford them. The more popular solution is to spend millions of the tax payers money on these unliable people (not limited to immigrants).
