Whether a child looks like Churchill or Dr. McDreamy, "your" production will always be the most beautiful creation...and don't kid yourself - a parent knows when his child is less than attractive and, hopefully, builds in the self-esteem that will make that child an attractive person in other ways than from the outside.

I have found that on a higher precentage that the ugly ones grow up to be very pretty and the pretty ones sometimes grow up to be very ugly. To answer the question though, because the kid is thiers. Didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Because they are the parents who brought them into the world and are jut expressing their extreme love and pride for their children. It is not a form of denial, just bliss and total happiness that the couple just brought life into the world.
