because Canada was under British rule until Confederation and the queen of England is still the queen of Canada, does it mean that it is easier for a Canadian citizen to obtain a British citizenship? Can someone please tell me how?

If you have a British- or Irish-born grandparent then you have the right of abode in Britain. In the first case you get a visa as a Commonwealth citizen with a British-born grandparent. In the second case you may be eligible for Irish citizenship, which gives you most of the rights of a British citizen too.

Otherwise you could ask for a working holiday visa and perhaps sort your future out while spending two years in Britain.

It would be easier for you if you married a UK citizen. Before you get citizenship you have to apply for residency and you can only apply for that after getting an entry clearance visa and have lived here for 2 years.
Getting a job in the UK might be an option too but visit the home office website to get further advice.
