i am deeply saddened by the loss of the newly weds in yesterday's plane crash. i keep reading all these stories about how they were married in a museum and it was a fairy tale wedding with a horse drawn carriage and 300 guests. only to have it all gone the very next day with this plane crash.
i'm at least releaved that they were together and were able to have lived to have that love and to have one night of an amazing marriage.

i woke up this morning and didn't want my husband to leave. i have had a huge awakening as how short life is.

who else woke up this morning realizing how short life is and how unexpected things really are?

I didn't know that story so I didn't wake up with that sense. But I agree that that is a very sad and unfortunate story.

It's so sad... But we can never take anything for granted. I make sure that no matter what the circumstances are, I tell my husband I love him and embrace him every morning before he goes to work, and before sleep at night. I don't want to ever regret that those weren't our last words to each other - in case something were to happen - and he does the same. Even if we're grumpy with each other about something. And this is after 17 years together - every moment is precious, and many things can interfere - accidents, illness, catastrophes... Love often and madly!!!

I was so sad when I heard about the plane going down. Then when I heard the story about the newlyweds, I was saddened even more. But I am happy that they at least got to have their dream wedding and now they are with the Lord.

I wake up every day knowing how short life is - in a span of 18 months I lost a son, a mother-in-law, 3 close friends, an aunt, an uncle and a niece - all to various causes. I just keep in mind the sweet memories of each life and how each day is a gift - use it to its fullest - don't dwell on the sad but celebrate each moment.

I did not hear about that story. It is very sad. I have experienced loss and woke up realizing how short and uncertain life is; so I do know how you feel.

You must be a very compassionate person to feel so deeply for strangers. Your husband is very lucky and so are you.

I don't know where I've been cause i haven't heard that story. But how sad that something like that happened. And yes I agree life is to short.and its sad that most people today take life for granted. when they should be living like there's no tomorrow.Because we are not granted to have a tomorrow.or any other day for that matter. good luck and sorry to hear that.

that is sad...I think about how short life is everyday.
this morning I was a little irritated with my husband, and when he said good bye and I love you, I didn't say it back to him. Now I am feeling bad about it. I wish I had said it and I hope nothing happens to him today. I feel like such a jerk.

I must live under a rock, I didn't hear that story at all. Sounds very sad.

I think that's a common reaction to something like this. It is an opportunity for us to see how precious each little moment is. . .
