That is a trick question. I will say that as a teenager you think that your parents know nothing. Then in your 20's you start to realize that they know what they are talking about. By your 30's you start to listen to them. However when you have kids of your own, that's when you truly realize that your parents are wise!

I don't know about others but for me I realized that Mom and Dad were a lot smarter than me when I was about 20. When you get out on your own and start paying your own bills that is when you start to understand that being a parent is hard work with very little appreciation.

I find that it takes till about 22 or 23 when the child realizes that the world no longer revolves around them. That was when I became friends with my siblings also. At that age you realize people aren't going to give you anything for nothing and your parents may have had a clue about what happens in life.

Kids only think you are wise until they turn 10 - 13. After that a parent will be stupid in their eyes for the rest of a lifetime.

Most usually? After they have had children of their own and come to the realization that you were right. lol They will even find themselves sounding like their parents. (me) lol I have gone through this. I realize now my parents were right and now my son does as well. He is 28.

They are?? Just kidding. I don't know if there is a certain age. I guess it really depends on the kid and his or her parents.

Hehe when I get in a room with too much spray-paint.
Actually i recognize my parents have reasons for MOST things they do, And i'm 16 btw, BUT when i feel that their pride is hurt and they're being spiteful instead of reform-oriented, that's when i question their intelligence.
