I am not sure.
It is probably different for everyone though.
You should be able to just tell when you are ready to move on, and not have it feel like a rebound. I wouls say at least two or three months though. There is nothing wrong with giving yourself some time.

I don't know, cause the day i broke up with my stupid ex, i started seeing someone else...not dating them....but going on dates....then a month later we started "seeing" each other, and we've been together for 2 years and i'm very much in love......so in record timing possibly, 24 hours,lol.......so i don't think there is a time limit......(my situation might be a lil diff...not with a guy no more......) and plus i never considered them a rebound!

its different among ppl to see what's the rebound period, to some its a month, to some its a bit longer.
It really comes down to whether you have recovered from your previous relationship. Some relationship are easy to come out, some takes a lifetime...

don't treat it like something that has to happen. If you like the new person roll w/ it. if you talk about the ex the whole time, then he will dump you and you can call it your rebound if that makes you feel better.
