Okay this is a really difficult thing to deal with. It's very hard to learn to trust after being abused. Take it slowly. Maybe at first let them know that you've been hurt badly before. You can go in to details as you feel okay with it. Abuse can effect your habits and the way you treat people. Take it at your own pace and no one needs to know everything all at once unless you are ready to share it and believe that they are reasy to hear it. If they really like you they'll stick around. If they don't, they aren't worth it anyway.

If you know this is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.. then he should be of support.. and won't run. If his feelings are mutual.. why would anything scare him off.. he'll want to only protect you.
Keeping it honest now.. will only allow you to be yourself when the pain hurts you later.. and you'll have him there for you.. always better to have a shoulder to cry on rather than a back to turn from.

Don't tell them, except maybe much, much later in your relationship, and then only if you're sure they can take it. It may be best to not ever tell them. Just because you can't forget doesn't mean you need to impose your story on other people, even those who care for you.

I am not sure I follow but you should not tell anything about yourself to others until you are completely secure about telling and have a good sense that the other person will understand and support you.

That depends on you if you want to share what happened to you...if they always run away will then they are not the right person for you. You should be with someone who will be understanding with your situation and what you have to live with every single day of your life.
good luck!

You should not open your talk with another person about your history. There is a time and place to talk about your past and it is only when both you and your friend is ready.
