Why would God not kill Satan for being evil, but kill the entire human race(with the xception of Noah'sfamily)
Satan' rebellion is the original sin.
Apparently no one was able to control Satan.
He pretty much does what he wants, when he wants to. They were only able to throw him down here on us. I say we rebel and get rid of them both.Or at the very least ignore them both as irrelevant, unprovable and outdated.
May The Good Lord have mercy on us all.

God has the ability to get rid of Satan if He wanted to but He doesn't. Satan is not an eternal being and he does not have eternal life. He lost that when he was kicked out of Heaven.
This is why he killed the entire human race minus Noah's family:
Genesis 6:11-13 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.
2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

The answer to this perplexing question is very simple. Satan as an entity does not exist. The word "Satan" is one that pertains to Evil.
If you take the word "Devil" and remove the "D" you will find the Word "Evil" Likewise, with the word "God" if you simply add an "O" you will clearly find the word "Good". Therefore "Good and Evil" these both offset each other equally just like "On and Off" or "Black and White" or "Yin and Yang".
Satan is just a word to help people associate and or describe the Evil that is inside of all us.
Also this first clearly states how it truly is so....
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7, KJV)

The very first prophecy of the Bible (Genesis 3:15) given right after Adam's sin - foretold that Satan would receive a blow to the head. (usually fatal, as opposed to a blow to the heel, which is the one prophesied to for Jesus)
And, Revelation chapter 20 shows that in the very near future Satan will be abyssed for a short time and then he will be let loose again (when humans are all perfect) for a short period of time and then he will destroyed.
So, yes, much simpler to get rid of the source of evil.
But of course, you would have to give him the chance to show just how wrong he is. Then he can have no excuse when he is executed.

For God, all things are possible. The fact that He is a God of Justice means that Satan has a trial and appeal and sentencing to go through.
And every human though corrupt at birth has the opportunity to earn his way into heaven, on the condition that he achieve perfection. Being that all your good deeds together, even at your very best, do not erase the evil that you did, you can not achieve perfection. The same God of Justice that gave you the opportunity also gave you the out. Simply accept the gift on His terms. Or go it on your own to face the consequences or YOUR sin all by YOURself.

Only God can give the good answer.
Good and evil is part of His great design in this life. People are given the so-called free will. nobody born evil or good. they become what they are because of what they have been through and what the choose to be.
Evil or Satans are just plain evil. it's his job to spread evil. good or angels are, on the other hands, are born good, they can never be evil. satans and angels are just like robots, they cannot think what they want to think, or do what they want to do. they do things because it's what God wants. we, we do things as we will. even God has nothing to do with what we do. it's the choise that makes us different, makes us good or evil.
if life is all good, then what good will we get? life will be meaningless.
think about this: why is there such thing as rich? because there's such thing as poor. if poor doesnt exist, rich will not exist.
what would you call good if there's no such thing as evil? why are you happy? because you remember how it's like to feel the pain, the sadness, etc. if people live without the pain, sadness, etc, they will never feel happiness. Man and woman, black and white.....one completes another. human beings need this. man need woman, we sometimes go evil so we learn from our mistake and remember how good it is to be good. etc etc....this is called the dualism concept.
everything is dual, but God himself---

Satan was in the garden of eden, that's since when he was in the OT.
Why don't you keep a person in an incubator all it's life? If satan wasn't here to try us and test us, we would be weak. We'd have no character.
Also, if there was no rain, we wouldn't appreciate the sunshine. If there was no pain, we wouldn't appreciate health. No sadness, we wouldn't appreciate joy.
And, as someone has said, God doesn't do things according to our reasoning. He has a much bigger plan than any of us could ever imagine.
But he will be destroyed at the end of tribulation.

Well for one, you have to realize what is involved. Since Satan challenged the right for Jehovah to be able to rule over us, questioning his Sovereignty, God could not leave that challenge unanswered. He has allowed people to prove whether or not they want to accept God or Satan as ruler. In the account of Noah in Genesis chapteres 6-9, it seems apparent that after the angels who rebelled and took human form and caused the whole earth to be filled with violence and complete badness to a point that excepting Noah, like you brought out, no pure and true worship--no righteous people existed. God is able to read hearts and it was evidently clear that they were set on their ways and only ruining the earth, and excepting Noah, caused all mankind to turn their backs on their God. He is the Judge ,so there really is no basis for us humans to question why he chose to cleanse the earth then. People seem to like to look at the negative and not see the situation objectively. The earth was completely bad, only few were left, and were likely threatening the lives of Noah and his family. Imagine only a few good, and ALL bad. Jehovah wanted to spare his people that took him into consideration. The Bible says that Noah preached to those people, warning them of the coming calamity and the need for change, but they chose not to listen (sounds similar to what Jehovah's Witnesses are doing :) ) so they ignored divine warning. They ignored the warning, but Noah and his family payed attention and did according to what Jehovah asked them to do. So their lives were spared.
Satan on the other hand is STILL challenging God. Jehovah will let him continue to try to do what he's trying to do, but Jehovah will soon rid of Him after he is obviously proven wrong.
Hope that helps. :)

Satan now plays a plan in God's period of Grace--the time He has allowed us to choose Him or to choose to go our own way before the time of judgement. He allows Satan reign over this world, so that we have an actual choice to make. God's period of Grace will eventually end, Satan will be destroyed. Judgement will take place. Justice will be complete.
Why does God choose to do things this way instead of just making us follow Him? We have lots of human ideas and explanations, but really we don't totally understand the mind of God. Some day you can stand (or perhaps fall) before God and ask Him yourself.

Satan is a son of God, (angel) that was created. Like the other angels, satan has eternal life already. So did Adam and Eve, but He took it from them, and part of their punishment was that man would die. In fact the first thing God said, was when you eat of it , in that day you shall surely die. He did die in his day. He now had a time limit on life. He died at 930 yrs. Man, including Adam and Eve, dies. Jesus was here to show us the way back to eternal life. The human race can die, but the devil can't. He is still an angel, albeit an evil one, and a fallen one. Remember the still called the fallen angels sons of God in the bible when they mated with the daughters of men? These were the fallen angels. Their offspring was hybrid, and part of the wickedness of Noah's time before the flood.
The devil will keep trying to get eternal life taken from man.
You seem to forget that the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah were before Jesus was on earth to die for the sins of man. Before Jesus, yes, God pretty much would smite mankind if a large group of sinners were trying to take over. Think about what man did at the times in question.
