Why do races other than whites refer to themselves by their heritage name and then American? Does it mean they really don't want to be in America? Should we deport people who use this type of heritage pride over American honor? I love to be called an American--I thank God everyday I am a citizen!

No, I really think that those people should take their pride back to the land that they want to be first in their lives.

We are called Americans because we are Americans.....
The Continent is North America,we live in the UNITES STATES OF AMERICA,SHORTENED TO AMERICA.
Our presidents refer to us as fellow Americans, and our books refer to us that way as do most all people of other countries.why does that bother you buddy.......We are not United Statesians get real.
I am not a hyphenate American,I am of German heritage but I am American. My heritage doesn't have anything to do with my country's name or my affinity to call my self American.People can call themselves whatever they wish, but not very many other country's that have immigrants or legal citizens do that.Ive never heard of a Mexican-Frenchman.or a African-Great Briton er? or any
other country's ,there may be some but I cant think of any.
Suffice to say I am American and if my heritage was Aborigine I would still be a proud American of Aborigine heritage.

It all comes down to the word Freedom. The freedom to anything you damned well please, just about.
Yah, it's nuts but that's the good old US of A.
There's a lot about America that leaves much to be desired. The basic concept is good but the way corruption has figured into the coefficient was not understood when our perameters were established by the founding fathers. With the advent of the computer, millions and millions of people can be manipulated and kept track of and ultimately controled and misled by the government and others with the sway and $$$$ to do so.
Technology in some ways has bitten us on the butt and is getting us on the run ...the wrong way!
The thang with Mexico is about corruption and selling out the average American. The quality of our lives has been and will continue to diminish if Illegal immigration is not halted. Particularly from Mexico but it could be from anywhere. The huge influx of illegals of any counrty into another is threatening and should be/can be stopped. Nothing against, legall, well paced immigration for all that come here for the right reasons.
We can't and shouldn't tolerate a swarm of immigrant locusts that sweep in overnight and raid the coffers and change the day to night with their numbers.

Good question! American is the best title you can have. I am so grateful every day to be a citizen of the greatest country on earth. I know that we are the best. Nobody compares to us. I always have an American flag in my yard and a POW (prisoner of war) flag right beside of it, to honor the men and women who have fought and died for our great nation. It's humbling to me to realize what they represent.

As far as the Mexicans who want to turn America into their country, they need to leave. It doesn't make any sense to me that they come over here and still have loyalty to the country which has failed them. If they don't want to assimilate or learn the language here, they should leave.

STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER, if that bothers you, you are in the wrong place and need to leave.

Everything else has been tooken away from my ancestors..
Atleast most whites know where their ancestors came from, and can say I have German blood or whatever in me..
All I know is that my ancestors are from Africa, and was stripped of their culture by whites..
The best thing I can do to honor my ancestors is to be proud of where they came from..Africa.
I love being African and I also love being an American.
Why cant you just expect that and move on?
This wouldn't be a free country if we couldn't express our self in every way, you sure can find stupid reasons to deport someone.

It's all part of the movement toward a one world government. First step is to eliminate national patriotism by associating oneself with foreign lands.

I dont know. I know a lot of people who are white and say they are Italian and Irish and whatever they might be. In this country, when people ask what I am, I say I am Argentinean/French, however when I'm not in the US I always say I'm American.

I don't think there is anything wrong of being proud of your history and your familys history.
