i work at social security. Call 1-800-772-1213, that's the number to social security. They will look up the person you are referring to. they won't give you any information but they will try and locate them and send them a letter. If the person wants to respond they can, but if not they don't have to. It's against the privacy act for them to just give you their informatin though, so you would have to wait for a response. But try using zabasearch or something like that too. The peoplefinder sites are pretty good but they cost.

If you are in the UK, try BT.com. You can enter their surname and what address u know and it'll give you a number for them. Or try friends reunited. Or ring a radio and ask them to ask them to get in touch.
