Everytime i open my windows i am beseiged by my neighbours 4 cats, this poses a bit of a problem as i am allergic to them, thankfully not too severely but it still causes me a lot of discomfort. I get on rather well with my neighbour who owns them so a peaceful non harming method is one im searching for (unlike my fathers idea of stringing a small electric fence across my window sills), any ideas anyone???

Hi there...if you are unable to screen in the windows, consider using double-sided sticky tape on the sills. Be sure to block the inside part of the window so they can't jump past the sills in the windows. The idea is to get them to land on the tape so they then become stuck, which they dislike a lot. Eventually they will learn to avoid these areas after trying a few times. Replace the tape as needed as they lose their effectiveness if they are not tacky enough.

The best thing to get is an ultrasonic deterent. you can get the ones that plug in and are constantly on or that you hold in your hand and press a button to turn on only when you need to. They work wonders and don't cause any damage to the animals. Most of the time they can be used for cats, dogs and several other things.

You can pick them up on ebay for about $30 or so. just search for "ultrasonic cat"
