Primary stimulus:pectoralis major, pectoralis minor, latisimus dorsi, all three heads of the triceps and FRONT not rear deltoids.Secondary stimulus:abdominals, intercoastals and seratus. The last groups receive stimulus by stabilizing the body during the exercise,Push ups do not stimulate the rear delts in any way. There is also very minor stimulus to the hip flexors but only to stabilize.
