OR
would you rather take the path of a pretty crappy life but that is guranteed to be just that bit better than the one you would have had had you not taken the risk...
i hope this makes sense...

take the chance on the first one. It is better to say you tried and failed then to say you wish you would have tried and have regrets.

Not worded too well...but basically you have to see the odds of success...if the first option was for an acting or singing career (where your statistical odds are astronomical against success) I would say go with the safe plan, but pursure the other plan (if possible) as a hobby. Then, if you fail with the super gig (1st choice) you'll be safe. the last thing you want to do is hedge all of your bets on something that (even if you've got all the talent and everytghing) still probably won't pay off. Dreams are nice, but have a backup plan.

That having been said, since your question is so vague I really don't know what I'm talking about...you have to remmeber you only live once (a cliche, but true)...so weigh your options. I would take my advice and do the safe route while putting all your spare time into the dream.

I'd rather "take a risk, take a chance, and Breakawayyyyyy!" lol... really, I never took the chances that came in my life, and now I regret it cuz it's way past too later for me now. Anyway, if you think about it, the first option doesn't have to RUIN everything... Try to figure out a fall back plan that you can "run" at the same time or be working towards. Now, I'm the one not making sense...sorry, but what I'm trying to say is take a chance, but cover your @$$... the only thing you regret in life are the chances you didn't take. Trust me...and Good luck *hugs* :)

What is life without risk? You take risk in life at some point or another. Right from the school you are going to study to college always there is risk.If life is smooth sailing without risk involved then there is no thrill.
Taking calculated risk is better in bussiness. If it clicks then you are a winner and stand to gain but if you lose ,you have to start from scratch. So risk is always there but its upto you to grab the opportunity and risk your money and career.I would rather prefer the second.Risk is everywhere in life so make the best use of it and come up in life.
Hard work and taking risk is most essential in bussiness. If you are afraid to take risk, you will be leading a crappy life.

I've always stuck to the ' better safe than sorry' part, but I would definately choose to do something which would have a low probability of working out, but I'll have a good life if it goes right!

You have to take chances in life, take risks.
You must sacrifice things too.

If you're going under surgery soon, or a friend or relative, even a loved one, I wish you and them the best of luck.

I understand what your saying , Do you take the "sure" thing knowing that you wouldn't be as happy as if you took the "risk" and it worked out? If it didn't {the risk} you would end up in a worse situation than you would have be taking the sure thing! Is it Worth taking the "risk" to you? That's what you have to ask "yourself" , I can't answer that for you! What's the price you're willing to pay if it doesn't work out! Answer these questions "honestly for yourself and you will have your answer! Life doesn't come with quarantees, unfortunately

I would take the chance as I don't see the point of settling for something you think is crappy. Really, what will it matter in 80 years when you are 6 feet under anyway?

I've never once heard in my 40 years that life will gurantee you anything.

Life is full of chances and risks. And should haves and should not haves. You need to decide for yourself.

A man's reach should exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for? The first option. Besides, I love a challenge.

Note to Wayne H: I really don't think the young lady is asking you what SHE should choose. I think she's just curious as to what WE would choose.
