I saw a bumper sticker- it said
"PISS OFF A CONSERVATIVE- ACT LIKE JESUS"
If more Christians truly listened to the words of Jesus, the world would be a better place.

Paul?! these people are listening to Paul?!?! Did the Testament of Mary called Magdalene not say that Paul was leading his people differently from Jesus's attributes? Gosh, that explains a lot. Paul only came to follow some of Jesus's words. These are derranged Christians we're talking about, here. Maybe we should call them Paulstians.

different religions teach the word of God in different ways. certain words mean different things to different people. everyone sees this religion issue in their own way, we are each different... we learn different, we teach others differently than we were taught and we interpret things a lot differently than others... even if we have some of the same beliefs in common, that just puts us in a group or classification say like Christians, Jews or Hindus. not everyone will see the word of God the same way. that's just how it is. some of what Jesus has said may seem vitally important to one and be totally irrelevant to another... that's why we are individuals.

As Ray Barone said to his Brother on his wedding day "The good parts"
We each take away from the Bible and Jesus teachings what strikes a chord within us.

When the Holy Spirit is absent, Satan is present. Anyone who reads the Bible who does not have the holy spirit to guide them is greatly mislead through Satan. People tend to forget that Satan knows the Bible like Jesus does and uses it against anyone who is not guided by the Holy Spirit. Without God we interpret what we feel is right.

Words are subject to interpretation. Jesus' words recorded in the gospels by his disciples, written in Greek, should all be lived by. It is the church fathers and later reformers who isolated passages and built doctrines around them.
Jesus did sumarize his teaching, though:
1) Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength
2) Love your neighbour as yourself. (Mark 12:30,31)
3) If you love me, you will obey what I command. (John 14:15)
4) Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)
Impossible by human standards, but God did by giving us his son, the Perfect One, Jesus. If He is Lord of all, (including us), then the word will not judge us, or rather it will justify us by Him.

Because people have different interpretations of the Bible.
You can't take everything Jesus says 'literally' anyway. "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off". Sorry, but no way am I going to cut off my hand. (plus I wouldn't be able to type this message to you fine people)
:)

Well, we can't learn it all at once. Jesus is very deep. The Holy Spirit teaches us, where we are, and leads us into all truth.
