She goes in one area consistently, which I like, but in the summer it gets a little ripe. I pick up often but I think it's really soaked down over the years.

Baking soda, "Nature's Miracle" (available in most pet stores), Nutri-Vet Green Grass soft chews (treats for dogs), Simple Solution Yard Odor Away (available at: www.pet-dog-cat-supply-store.com)

You can also try putting down pads where the dog urinates, and remove them periodically for cleaning (rather than trying to get the smell out of the ground).

The use of gypsum or lime has been advocated but it is uncertain exactly what mechanism this would have in helping prevent urine damage. Improved soil quality over time may result in better drainage and less urine concentration at the grass and root level, but additional information is needed in this area.

Lawn burn, when mild, will often repair itself over time, especially in the case of the warm-season turf grasses that spread by stolons and rhizomes. Dark green spots and taller grasses may remain for several weeks. Sodding can be a quick way to patch severely damaged individual areas that would otherwise be invaded by weeds.

How about dumping some baking soda on it? Good luck!! Maybe you could take her out for a longer walk and have her pee in different places.

well- we walk our dog and he poops on the trail or what have you and of course we pick it up right away.
with the urine, we just hose the spot down where he goes pee and let the water wash it away. seems to work pretty well

Dig up the ground and sprinkle lemon juice all over it. That will do the trick.
