When you arrive at wherever you go to basic training, you will have your head SHAVED!!! You will be required to pay for that haircut as well. Hair standards in the army are in accordnance with Army regulation AR 670-1 and it clearly states that hair must be 1/8" on the sides and must not interfere with the wearing of whatever headgear you are wearing.

You could keep them if you were Secretary of Defense. Or maybe if you were an undercover spy. Not otherwise; not even if you were a member of the Army Band.

they'll shave every bit of it when you get to basic....then after that youre allowed to grow a little tiny bit on top. That's it man. And what the hell are you doing with dreadlocks anyway. I'm guessing you dont get any hot women in bed, right? Know why? Youre ******** hair STINKS!!!

There is no exemption to make you the only dread-locked soldier in the army. If you kept them how could you get on a helmet and a gas mask when needed?
