Hi people, hope everyone's day is going fabulously thus far! :) I've been a real health nut for the past three months; eating healthy and working out just about everyday. Question, if I decided to change my eating habits, and eat a LOT of salad, is that healthy? Well, I know it's healthy, but would eating this way cause me to miss out on any nutrients or anything? For instance, I go to a popular restaurant, and buy their chef salads. These salads have all the good veggies, in addition to a few wedges of chicken breast. So, my favorite meal for breakfast is oatmeal. If I ate oatmeal in the morning, and then a salad for lunch and dinner, outside of the meal being boring on a long term basis, nothing but good can come out of this right? Looking to all you diet and fitness gurus for guidance! :)

As long as you are getting adequate protein, it should be fine. Eating 4 to 6 small meals in a day will boost your metabolism, you may want to consider that also. Just make healthy choices and take a multivitamin, you'll be fine.

I'm a veggie nut, and people would always tell me I couldn't get enough C without eating fruit, but a tomato actually has more C than an orange.

Oatmeal great choice for breakfast.......and really healthy too. Salads are good choice also but don't go short on protein so add some grilled chicken or fish with that or eggs.
Good luck with your healthy eating campaign.

I don't know about whether the diet is boring. I do know that hearing the details about what a health nut is eating is VERY boring.

Foods on your diet are not in a popularity contest. Ask a doctor or nutritionist for advice.
