At least some fake evidence has emerged to support the existence of ghosts, more than you can say about god.
I, of course, don't believe in either.

I believe in God, and I think that spirits are possible. But when people talk about ghosts or spirits, they are meaning different things. Some people don't believe that the dead are conscious, they are just sleeping til God's return. So a spirit or ghost to them is an evil spirit from the devil. Some people believe in an eternal soul (even though that's not really biblical, that was the lie the snake told to Eve in Garden of Eden) and still think most spirits or ghosts are generated by the devil and don't trust them. Other people believe ghosts are souls of the dead. All of us are raised a certain way with a belief system and ways of seeing the world. Ghosts don't fit into some people's system of belief. Why does anyone really believe anything? They have faith. Is belief in ghosts one way or the other, going to save someone's soul? No.
I don't believe that ghosts or spirits are actually dead people myself, I couldn't prove it one way or the other, and I'm not worried about it. I like your questions, though, this it the second one I've answered, I think.

Well, I believe in God. I also acknowledge the existance of ghosts... however, not in the sense as most people see them. From what I've read of the Bible, I've come to the conclusion that those who see or otherwise interact with ghosts, are, in 99.9% of cases, dealing with either demons, faulty wiring (or other household mishaps), practical jokes, or other natural phenomena...
To put it simply, Satan is described as being the prince of the air... ghosts appear as floating, non-corporeal beings... almost cloud or shadow like. Ghosts are considered the essence of who a person once was... demons, because of their pseudo-immortality, have a chance to closely examine a person's life long enough to imitate them to some extent. Ghosts are treated as if they're nearly omniscient (all-knowing)... no person has such kinds of knowledge, yet demons do. So, I am under the impression that a demon or fallen angel takes the form of a dead person, so that that person's mind is taken off of God, and onto the occult. The same applies with belief in U.F.O.'s and aliens as well.
The only Biblical exception is that of Samuel, who was raised up by King Saul, to answer his questions... and needless to say, *that* didn't go too well either.

Because they like to keep things simple. What you can't eat, drink, drive or bed does not exist. They replaced GOD with Jesus because they could see Jesus. That simplified things. Ghosts, spirits, souls, demons and such complicate things. How they handle the so called devil is beyond me.
Twenty years or so ago the electron was the smallest unit known. This was a proved fact. Nothing smaller existed and anyone who claimed otherwise was scoffed at as a lunatic. Now we know the electron is made up of many universes, one inside the other. So now along comes the "There ain't no such thing as ghosts". Man is not a fast learner.

Ghost are considered to be human souls. The reason people might say ghost are not possible has to do with the belief that once a person dies their soul either goes to heaven or hell and isn't "caught between worlds".
The subject of spirits is a completely different matter.

I don't know, it seems rather short sighted to not believe in spirits or ghosts when one believes in God. All is beyond the realm of the physical.
But there are those who believe that the entire physical body will be raised up when the final days and rapture happen - that is why they are not allowed to have cremations for their burial. They believe that the body and spirit will both go to heaven.
Why anyone would want a body in heaven is beyond me - but each believes as they will.

A true Christian will not believe in ghosts! (ghost of the dead, who comes back for a special message of undone missions etc)
Truth is, when a person die, he will fell in a deep SLEEP. He will remain there UNTIL Jesus come here again on earth to fetch the good souls.
Now, the apparitions, ghosts, etc are just bad spirits (done by satan) to make you believe that a dead loved-one has come back giving message, making you an IDIOT to believe.
Mostly to ghosts are there to scare, simple!

Well I'll be honest with you. I'm a little confused on this subject, and I am a bible believing Christian. I have been places where I did feel something, like a presence, so I don't have an answer for you. Did you know that a hall in Hampton Court, England is supposed to be haunted by one of Henry VIII's wives? Well I was there once and in that hall. I felt something, and it was chilling. the interesting thing was, it wasn't until I got home I remembered about this "fable". Hmmmm.

well, God is not a ghost, so I'm not sure what you mean by that.
But, in a general sense: Why do we know air exists? we breathe it.
Why do we know if we're hungry? We feel it.
Why do we sense that we are sleepy? We sense it.
There are just certain senses that we were Created with; we were Created with a need to recognize the One who made us.
He Created us with that need just like any other need we may have. Since many people don't recognize that need, they don't have a sense of hope, or anything to look forward to except the everyday motions of their monotonous life. The people that do recognize that need should do something about it, just as you would do something about your hunger, your sleepiness, etc.
It's like someone recognizing that they are hungry, and they say, "Oh, I'm hungry" and don't do anything about it. Or, they might choose to eat things that are not healthy for them and don't help them to grow, and as a result they feel tired and unsatisfied.
In the same way many peope say "Oh, I believe in God," yet don't do anything to show it, or live according to His ways. Or, they might choose to do things that are not spiritually good for them, such as worship things (money, sex, other 'gods' (madeup)), that are in conflict with the true God.
And just as God provided food so that we can eat, be satisfied, and healthy, He provided the Bible so that we can become spiritually healthy, knowing our purpose in life, and what our future will hold.
That's why Jesus could truly say, "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need," [Matthew 5:3] because they truly are happy, because these choose to do something about that need.
