The currency is now called the TURKISH NEW LIRA (Yeni Turk Lirasi)
(It replaced the old Lira in 2005. The old lira is no longer valid in Turkey. Only the new lira)

The exchange rate (for today) for the euro is
1 Euro = 1.89 Turkish New Lira

The exchange rate (for today) for dollar is.
1$ = 1.49 New Turkish Lira

The exchange rate (for today) for pound sterling is
£1 = 2.79 New Turkish Lira

PLUS. If you have visited Turkey earlier and holding some Turkish Lira you can easily convert it to New Turkish Lira at any Ziraat Bank.
