I'm not looking for any long-term weight loss/diet methods. I'm in reasonably good shape, but want to shed a few pounds ASAP for a houseboat party this weekend. Basically, I just want to 'lean up' a bit if possible. I will do any combination of exercise, calorie restriction, sauna, whatever. But I need to be able to function at work, so I can't simply starve myself for 5 days.

I have a naturally mesomorphic build and my body tends to react quickly to changes in diet, weight training, etc. I don't care so much about the actual WEIGHT I lose, I just care about any visible physical improvement I can bring about. Any thoughts?

Eat more protein rather than carbs and drink lots of water.
Don't take pills to eliminate water!
The place that you will make the most noticeable difference in a short time is if you can tighten up the muscles in your face and this is best achieved by lifting heavy weights.
Most of the benefit of plastic surgery is from the muscles under the skin and this can be achieved by activating them more through the stress of lifting weights.
Also - make a concerted effort to hold your stomach in at all times during the day. This will start to feel natural after a while and apart from supporting your back you will also have a flatter looking stomach even when relaxed.

You cant do both, with the kind of training you are doing you'll die at 1200 calories, you need more calories at least 2000 so that you can keep this up and make it a habit read the labels, the calories should come from carbohydrates in the day and proteins at night ( carbs at night only if you have an early morning workout - ) While your at it - go in for some grooming training at a ladies finishing school as well, so you need not have to wash your mouth with soap every night

No funny stuff here...just a tried & true method I do from time to time. Eat no sugar, no carbs & walk every day in the morning (to fast start your metabolism) Do not eat after 6 or 7 o'clock at night. It DOES work I have done it but don't stay on it longer than just a few days at a time. Make sure you take a good multiple vitamin every morning with an egg or something. Not on an empty stomach ! Next week add some "good" complex carbs to your diet.
Good luck ! I know what it means !!

Though it seems hard to believe, I have been using Wu-long black tea for two weeks. I have actually had less appetite and lost 12 lbs to date. I was skeptical at first, but figured that I could try it since it had a money back gauantee. I have not changed what I eat or drank, but again my appetite has decreased and am losing pounds

Cut your sugar and white foods for this week. Seriously- no pasta no white bread no white rice no potatoes. Eat only green veggies and steak. White carbs bloat you and metabolize into sugar. Drink lots of water until the day before, then take a water pill.
