No, because then we would have border problems between the new mexico border & OKLAHOMA and other new border states.
Problem wont go away till WE take over Mexico...not the other way around...especially since that what illegals really want by virtue of their lack of interest in becoming real americans.

I'm a south Texan, so no I wouldn't want to. I also have a cousin who's very dear to me who lives further south and pretty close to the border of Mexico and I don't want either of us to be displaced by forced moving. Besides, they can recover their own economy. They need to get rid of their corrupt government.

Just the parts that are east of New Mexico, south of Oklahoma and Arkansas and west of Louisiana. We can keep the rest.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure Mexico can come up with enough cash.

That may not help with the border issue. It would make the border a little bigger. Besdies, Mexico wants everything in the Southwest returned to them.

I think we should just emancipate Texas and they can be a country. They already fly their state flag at the same height as the U.S. flag, and tell people that they have "presidents" rather than governors. That might create some flag problems though, as we would have to remove a star...
