Firstly, find out exactly whether your parents want you to
move out of their house. If the answer is yes, then you should
be prepared financially to move out and stay on your own,
because nowadays, houses are expensive and the rent is
high in large towns. Make sure you're fully employed and save
enough money to rent or buy a house before you move out.
If you're in financial difficulties, talk to your parents to let you
stay longer until you can afford the money to move out.
On the other hand, your parents may want you to stay with
them, but you insist to move out as soon as you can. You
maybe thinking of freedom for yourself and avoid parental
control. If this is the case, you better not make that fatal
decision, because no parent would want to suppress his/her
child. They need your love and attention while staying together.

I know a guy who got a job and put all his money into a bank account while living with his parents. He save a million dollars by the time he was 22 and then invested some of it, bought a house and a car. He did not have any payments. Be wise do what this guy did and you will be set.

Where I live it is soooo hard to find a good job. I'm 24 years old and I can't wait to get out of my dad's house. I was working at this company in the office and I tried to save up money but I also had to pay bills for my dad's house. since I have temp unemployed right now and looking for work. it's tough. I also have a younger sister that lives here and I also have to pay for half of her stuff also. So I think whenever you can save up enough is when you should leave.

Your parents are not responsible for you after you turn 18 or graduate from high school. Many times parents will continue to support a child through college because they want them to have the best advantages. After that, unless their are solid reasons and a healthy balance for staying at home, child should be gone gone gone from the family nest.

You should move out when you have finished the minimum schooling requirements(highschool, GED, etc.) and have saved up some money to leave. Some people have finished school and they are eighteen and above living at home, and actually that is fine. You want to be established financially before hitting the streets.

But other then that at least 16 when you think you are mature to leave. But really reality is 18 when you graduate. Good luck with any problems!!!

It depends on the person and the parents. If you are going to college then you should stay home until you finish maybe even a year or two after. If you don't go to college or trade school and you get right into working then you should stay until you get enough money to get out on your own.

This is what I tell my kids....in order for you to remain in my home after the age of 18 and completing a HS education...you must be gainfully employed full time or attending college full time (min. 12 credit hours) and you will also be required to pay rent at a charge of $100 per month....I do not pay for your automobile insurance, provide gas money, or any other daily living expense. You want a cell phone your bill not mine. etc.

When you are ready. It doesn't matter if you are 18 or older, I assure you your parents wouldn't want you to move out, but is the course of life. To answer your question, move out when you have a steady job, you are ready to support yourself and know you'll be safe out there.

it's based on how you are financially, your relationship with your parents, your age, etc. there are a lot of factors. i lived there til i was 24 and i only moved out to live with my boyfriend, if it wasn't for that i would still live at home (i am 27 now) but i would only do that to save money
