I have been with my guy for 2 years and we live together. Occasionally when I am bored or curious I will scroll through his phone. The other day I said something to him about a call on his phone and he got all weird about me looking at his phone. It is not out of lack of trust that I do this. And on the other end of the spectrum, I would have no problem if he looked at my phone. I feel that we should have nothing to hide from one another. Am I in the wrong?

While I personaly speak as a strong, independent black man. I have found that unless your other half is attempting to hide some dark truth, or shelter a secret. Checking his phone might be construed by him, as you being insecure and/or co-dependent. However if the level of love and trust you two share is of equal value, then by all rights feel free.
However, dont go all J. Edgar Hoover on the guy, by checking his pockets, and spying. No man appreciates a jealous or possessive woman.
But beware the warning signs...Late night whispered calls, cut short when you enter the room are always a sure sign of "playeration".
And defensiveness almost always lead to something no good.

So, in closing...in my oponion, its ok to casually check to see whats goin on in his life (via) his phone logs.
But again I must stress, that sometimes we find answers to questions we later wish we had never asked in the first place.

You should ask him why does he get like that. I look at my mans phone. He always has access to look at mine. Your right you should not have anything to hide. Tell him you take my phone today and I'll take yours. Or by accident grab his phone before you leave and leave yours so he can take it with him. Then just say oh my god I got your phone by mistake. I was in a rush. He will no that your not hiding anything so he shouldn't either

I think in a way you are wrong because it means you don't trust him as much. Your having doubts about something. But in another way I think it's okay. My boyfriend checks my phone all the time and I check his. Yeah we check it to see who called but were both comfortable with it. Maybe you should let him know your not doing it to spy on him. Let him know whats going on.Just be careful cuz sometimes you might find something you really don't like. Just be sure your okay with what ever you find.

Hmmm. tough question. I don't really think it's wrong and the average man wouldn't get upset unless he has something to hide. If you're just doing some bored shyt and playing the phones games and ran across something by mistake that's different then if you were just snooping.

I don't have anything really personal on my phone, but nevertheless I don't like people looking at it (without permission that is),simply because it is mine and it is private, not that I have anything to hide. You shouldn't look at your guy's phone, I know that it is interesting but he won't trust you anymore if you continue to do it. At least ask him before you look at his phone. Also, ask him why you can't look at his phone,he'll probably say that he needs space or something like that. Remember that sometimes people want to keep things only between themselves and have a need for privacy.

If you really want to look at his phone,as him to swap phones. You have access to his and he has access to yours and that'll get him to loosen up a bit.

Hope I helped!

If you do trust him, why were you looking at his phone? It sounds like you are in denial. It is his private phone and you should ask him before looking.

Yes, you are probably wrong. A cell phone is a very private thing, unless he has no problem letting you see his calls, I would not do it.
