My lab used to do this. We changed her food to one that she can digest better, and now she only eats horse poop and tries to eat other dog's poop...

We switched to Nutro Lamb and Rice for big dogs. It's worth a try, but remember unusual hunger goes with the breed (just wait 'till he starts picking your tomatos before you get a chance) :)

He might, but in the meantime you might try putting garlic powder into his food. I heard it works. It can't hurt him, it's cheap and just might work.

increase his protein in his diet and he probably won't do it as much.
