Your hair can be an inch long and get braids- it just really depends on what you want and how quickly. i know guys who have even went to the extreme of getting weave in their hair until their own hair grew out long enough to braid. I always braided my bf's hair when it got to be an inch long- that way i had enough to grab onto and it had some length so it would look nice. However i know a young lady who braids with hair even shorter than that- it just depend aon how you want it.

Cornrows, individual braids, designs..

At least a half an inch, so when she braids it she can grip it. Also theres this stuff in the hair store called Doo Gro. It dont really make ur hair grow, but it keeps it conditioned so it dont break off and continues to grow.

It all depends on the texture of your hair and whether or not the person braiding it can grip your hair well enough. Usually at around 3- 4 inches minimum. Not really any hoe remedies, just make sure you grease your scalp regularly and wash at least once a week.

if you want it to look decent then let it grow about 3-4 inches. umm and as for growing it faster, just keep it moisturized.
