I live in Guatemala and I'm going to San Diego CA to visit a friend but I realized the date I'm flying and got a bit scared because all of the warnings that are out right now. What do you think? Should I change the date?

Just make sure you get to the airport early in case there are long lines at security.

Should be fine... When you think about it, even on 9/11/2001 if you were flying that terrible morning, four planes went down but 4,000 flights were in the air just over the US at that time. So you would have had only a 1 in 1,000 chance of being in danger even on that fateful day..

It will be more safe on this day than any other day of the year. You should feel more comfortable flying on this day. Just make sure you read about all the restrictions of what you can't bring on the plane.

And don't listen to others with stupid stats about your more likely to die from a drunk than be a terror victim because they mean nothing. You are more likely to die from natural causes at 90 years old than have your plane hijacked. Does that make you feel safer? NO. Enjoy the flight.

Go ahead and fly. Don't think about stupid things like that. If they haven't bombed us on 9/11/02, 03, 04, or 05, then chances are they're not going to bomb us on 9/11/06.

If any one day is safer than any other, it will most likely be the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

You're about 50,000 times more likely to be killed by a drunk driver on the way to the airport than to become a terror victim.

It will be a lot safer to fly on that date than it was on 09/11/01.

If your really this nervous Id wait. No need to be all shaken up before you see your friend. But I think nothings gonna happen either way. Have a safe trip whenever you decide to go. Youll be fine.

It's debatable because people do like to copycat old crimes, good luck it should be cool. I'm in San Diego stop by and say hi.
