For they are quick to attack one who sincerely asks a question. On my questions that I've asked here, they are most vocal; and I can't help but to wonder what has turned them so against God. And what of my questions offends them so much, simply because I asked. As I see it, they have a right to their opinion of God; no matter how misguided they may be, so why attack me for asking a question wich is really directed to other than them... but for whatever reason they respond with attacking words as if that should bother me. It truly makes me laugh. But in my heart I hope that God would reach them before it's too late. But what could've to happen to such people to make them so miserable on the inside?

That can't be a happy way to live. Especially when they are trying to live on the outside of God's love; little realizing, that every day they awaken, is a next gift from God H.I.M.Self.

It's easy to see from a biased point of view. For example, I see more Christians lash out at questions, but maybe that's because I'm agnostic.

It's all relative.

i feel that all a lot of christians do is talk about church and god etc as if the more they say those words the holier theyll get. All they seem to learn at church is that they should go to church or they talk how they read the bible in a certain time limit. They don't mention things about what they learned or seem to be better people. there are a lot of things they don't obey in the bible so i don't even see what the point is to pretend they do. the bible is a book made up of many peoples opinions and contradict itself.
Any lunatic can write fiction. and if u have a good imagination u can imagine anything u want and believe it. i don't force anyone to believe what i do but if they really want my opinion i might give it. what is is the reason ppl should believe there is a god? JUST because someone else said there is one. A lot of christians can pretend to be nice on the outside but when u get to know them better they change.
i think the goal of life is to become a better person. And christians are so busy being christians they dont have time to do anything else and totally miss the point of real life

No I'm not sad. I enjoy life to the fullest. Why do Atheists not believe in God? One reason is the amount of misery which religion has bought. Whilst you may claim the high moral ground history does not support you.The number of people which religion has had murdered is on a scale which out strips all that committed by serial killers. Religious people are responsible for hundred of times more deaths than the holocaust - something which was supported by many Christians. You may speculate that Atheists are sad people but I would rather be sad than consumed with hatred. You delude yourself by claiming that you are within God's love. If the love of God is the hatred of any and everybody who disagrees with you you can have it. It doesn't appear to be love to me. I would rather be kind, gentle, considerate and non-judgmental and respectful of all life and opinions than a self-righteous bigot who despises those who don't agree with their viewpoints.

I've seen equal amounts of "attacks" from christians as well as atheists on here.

I don't feel a connection to any organized religion. I feel there is a higher power that is within all of us, call it God if you wish. I feel a strong spirituality within myself. I do feel a big part of the reason why I don't belong to any organized religion is the people. Many of the messages in religions are peaceful, loving, and make sense to me. But quite a few of the people who belong to certain religious institutions do not practice what they preach. They judge, they assume, and they attempt to force conversion. Why would I want to pray/meditate with people like this?

im an atheist, and its not an unahppy way to live, its just what i believe. i can honestly say that i do not lash out at people who believe in god though, because it does nto affend me, same as i do not expect people to yell at me for asking a question for an atheists point of view. everyone is entitled to there opion, and nobody should be scolded for voicing it.

and nothing 'turned' me agest god, i just am a skeptic. i do not think anything in the bibl is possible, of that god is possible. i think there are more reasonable explanations for everything.

i hope you understand why i have the opions i have, and that you dont judge all atheists the same, and do not stereotype them as being people how have turned agest god and are offended when you talk about him, cuz everyones reasons for beliving in what they do are different.

I agree with this, atheists tend to give a frontal assault that you even ask the question, but then those of us who believe tend to be somewhat defensive also.
Oh and the guy who says he is an agnostic should look up the word, I have found that most agnostics are really atheists who either don't want to be labeled an atheist, or they just call themselves that to have a chance to argue with anyone that believes.
I have also noticed that atheists and agnostics all seem to believe that those who have faith are uneducated and ignorant, and most of the people that I know through my church are doctors, lawyers, psychologist, psychiatrists, and all of them have at least a bachelors degree, while few of the atheists have better than a high school diploma.
Makes you think doesn't it.

The same thing happens on both sides. I have been called names by christians because I am a buddhist, but not by atheists. Your only showing one side of this conflict.

Do not speak harshly to any one; those who are spoken to will answer thee in the same way. Angry speech is painful: blows for blows will touch thee.

It's sad that you don't realize that just as your state of belief is just as valid as an Atheists' state of non-belief. You say that they're "misguided" and that you hope they eventually find the way to GOD. That is just as insulting and patronizing as probably when an Atheist says to you "I hope you open your eyes one day and see how brainwashed you are".

Maybe you just don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot?

Because Atheists are trying to convert people to their faith... Atheists try to push their beliefs on everyone and try to convert people to their belief system...

Funny how they whine and complain about Christians doing that then they do the same thing... hypocritical if you ask me.

I'm still trying to figure out why the Atheists are even spending time in the religious section if not for persecuting Christians
