you can not see into the distance, with shortsightedness, you however be able read and do close work with no trouble. you need to get your eyes tested.
once that is done you have three choices one wear glasses, two use contact lens discuss what type you can use if you wish to use contact lens. three an operation to correct the sight.
the best person to tell you about all your options is optician

A thesaurus and dictionary. or get hold of a long side ness to match the short one or even get hold of the end of the short one and stretch it till it`s the same length as the long one, but the best thing to do is read your question before you submit it.

If you are talking about Short Sightedness (Myopia) you might want to go to an optometrist and obtain spectacles to aid your vision.
