I think you do have that right, either in marriage or in a non-adulterous consenting adult relationship. Even though I am married, I don't want a bunch of religious nuts telling me what I can and cannot do in the bedroom. Since I am past child-bearing age, some of them would probably frown on me and my husband continuing to have sex. I don't care about their opinions.

when I get the chance to have sex it;s about me and the person I am with, I could care less about what everyone else is doing, besides, sex is kind of what makes the world go round, if we didn't have it we could procreate and then we would all die off pretty quickly

It's up to the individual to decide if they are ready or not. Following a group of people makes u look as if u dont have your own state of mind. therefor easily influenced into anything.
