Many times, a male dog who's been neutered at an early age will pee like a female all his life. My Husky/Shepherd cross was neutered at six months and never did lift his leg.
Considering the problems that some of my friends have had with their dogs peeing on the furniture, I didn't care if Max ever hiked his leg. And if he was embarassed around all the other boy dogs, that was HIS problem, not mine. ;-)
If it's any consolation, my first German shepherd (also neutered at six months) was so bad about peeing on his front paws that his nickname was, "Sir Cody Piddlefoot."

All male dogs go through that stage. After he gets to be about 6 months to a year he'll start lifting his leg like all the other male dogs. If he's fixed he might take longer to do this (or never do it al all) I have a female dog that lifts her leg to pee(and yes she's fixed) and so no worries. You just need to give it time. Maybe take him around older male dogs so he can "see" for himself how its done!

Hmm, my dog (male, mixed-breed, neutered, 3-years old) rarely lifts a leg to pee. Mostly he stretches forward, thus not hitting his front paws with the stream.
I know someone who trains assistance dogs, and they teach the dogs not to hike a leg to pee. So I guess I'm lucky I never had to train my dog in such a specialized peeing method ;-)

My dog had the same problem but it came winter time and I built a snow mound and he instinctly knew to lift his leg and when he did i immediately praised him. After that he always pees like a male dog is supposed to and he still hits his front paws.

Males learn to lift their legs by watching others. Consider yourself lucky he doesn't do this! It can lead to obnoxious behavior. If he's neutered, he may never lift, if he isn't, then he'll eventually pick it up and you;ll wish he still just went like a girl instead of wanting to hit every object taller than 3 inches;)

Your canine is showing the text textile e book signs and warning signs of a urinary tract an infection. i do no longer understand why you're discovering a yeast an infection whilst it somewhat is needless to say a UTI. in case you probably did study a UTI you will understand that straining to pee yet there is the two no urine or tiny quantities of urine many times, is a classic sign. Take your canine to the vet and in case you could collect a specimen of her urine to take with you all the extra useful. Your canine desires antibiotics until now everlasting bladder and/or kidney injury is led to.

My male great dane doesn't lift his leg either, he never did. If they were fixed early enough they won't lift their leg. Better than having them pee all over everything (at least you can wipe his legs off).

Most male dogs lift their leg when they whiz, others squat. My English Bulldog squats and my Miniature Pinscher (8 lbs.) lifts his leg when he whizzes on the Bulldog.
