Confirmation as a Catholic sacrament can only be conferred by a bishop or, with a bishop's permission, a priest.

With love in Christ.

Honestly let me ask you this, where do you think up such questions from ?

Christianity encompasses, Catholics, Protestants, Jehovah Witness, Seventh Day Adventists, Baptists, Evangelists, Lutherans and numerous other sects.

It is my understanding that Catholics are Christians as well. So if you ask if a Christian person can confirm a Catholic person then the answer is yes. If you are asking whether a specific sect within Christianity can confirm a Catholic then you have to make it clear which specific Sect you ar talking about.

I would doubt it, confirmation is really a denominational thing. You probably have to be of the same denomination to confirm someone. And it usually has to be a pastor or priest of the denomination performing the confirmation.

Just as a side note to those who are answering that only the Catholic church has confirmation, you are wrong. Many Protestant churches also confirm members. I have helped teach the confirmation class at my church (United Methodist) for several years.

No for two reasons:
1. Christians don't do confirmation. They do dedication and baptism.
2. The Catholic church would never allow a non-Catholic to perform a ceremony in their church.

No. Confirmation is only valid when performed by a Catholic bishop (or higher, such as an archbishop or a cardinal or the Pope).

How the heck do you 'confirm' a person? Are you trying to insure that person is really a person?

If you are talking about being a Sponsor, I don't think so.

You can be a God-Parent along with a Catholic Spouse.
