To each their own... It's not for me... and no I wouldn't be offended or upset if I were hit on by someone of the same gender... it's no different than getting hit on by some guy at a bar I'm not interested in.
As far as marriage goes- I feel our government doesn't have any right to dictate to it's citizens who they can and cannot marry.
Homosexuality is just a label our society created to make one person feel superior to another- they're just people.

Since I believe that marriage is mainly a religious ritual, I feel that each religious institution should decide how they want to deal with it. I do not believe that the government should have the right to interfere or license it. The government should only deal with legal civil unions between people which would not be biased or based upon gender, race, or religion.
I see no reason to deny a civil union based on gender. I really don't care what private restrictions that each religious institution decides to make for their religious rituals. And I really do not have an interest in the private, consenting sexual affairs of others.

Since the US is a secular society, and the government calls its money making scheme for marriage a liscence (a marriage contract), all religious arguments about any form of marriage (gay or not) are null and void. I have no strong opinion about homosexuality, because I am not one, I do not believe ones sexual orientation to be a moral issue, and there is no evidence that homosexuals are significantly different in other areas of life than the general populous. The whole issue is not spiritually relevant (unless you're a Judeo-Christian cherry picking which parts of your holy text you belive), but it sure gets republicans to the polls.

Homosexuals are people just like anyone else.
They should be allowed to live their lives without the harassment and censure that narrow-minded bigots heap on them. They should be allowed to marry the person that they love, and not be restricted because of narrow-minded bigots who think that it's "yucky".
And it should be MARRIAGE, not some weasel-term like "civil union" - "Separate but equal" didn't work for the blacks in the 60s, why do people think it will work now?
What two (or more) mutually consenting adults do in a loving relationship is no one's business but theirs.
For those who are claiming that marriage is something from God - it's not a religious institution, it's a legal one. If it were religious, then atheists couldn't get married.

Whatever makes you happy, and isn't hurting anyone else, I have no problem with. I feel gay people should be allowed to get married, so they can share benefits, tax advantages, retirement/death benefits, etc. just like straight couples.
To those who say it's a sin, I guess I don't understand why they care, since it doesn't affect them. If you don't believe in gay marriage, then don't have one!

I don't even know what an "opion" is, nor what "marrage" or "overal" is. Are you trying to say "onion mirage"? And overalls? ...like what farmers wear?
If so, then I once saw an onion mirage while wearing overalls...it was really hot and I was hungry.

I refuse to judge anyone, I think to do so would be arrogant and self-righteous. They have a right to do whatever they want, it's none of my business, and I think they should have a right to the legal institution of marriage without people shoving their Bibles down their throats.

I don't have a problem with it at all... Homosexuality or whom they marry.
In a society where adultery and divorce is high, I don't think anyone else can say who gets married and who doesn't. It's really none of our business what 2 consenting adults do. *Shrug*

I am against Gay marriage because it violates God's gift to us of marriage. but homosexuality is a sin just as is many things that I do and only God has the authority to feel any particular way about it, not me.

Gay people are just people. They love who they love. Who are we to tell them who they can love and who they can marry? If I say I like anal sex and giving my husband head, does that mean I shouldn't be married either? It's the same thing, isn't it? Not using my "parts" for their "intended purpose" (procreation)?
