I am trying to find info regarding getting married at city hall in Chicago but I cannot find any info. Does anyone know of a website or do you have any info you can give me? How much does it cost? How many people can be there? etc. Thanks!

Actually, it's the Cook County Building, but close enough. I posted the link to the county clerk's office on how to obtain a marriage license. After you get the license and wait the 72 hrs, then you can come back to the County Building and make an appointment to be married in the Marriage Court.

From what I can remember, it's a pretty small room, enough to fit a party of 6-8 or so. It's been over 9 yrs since I and my wife got married there. Good luck!

Civil Wedding Ceremonies
Ongoing, Saturday, 9 am - noon
G.A.R. Hall or Preston Bradley Hall
There is a $10 fee imposed by the Clerks Office to register to get married.

The beautiful marble walls and coffered ceilings of the Cultural Center's G.A.R. Hall provide the backdrop for marriage ceremonies, performed every Saturday from 9am to noon by judges from the Marriage Court of Cook County.
Couples interested in holding their services at the Cultural Center must pre-register at the Marriage Court, 119 W. Randolph St. (lower level). For more information on how to register to be married in the Cultural Center, call the Marriage Court at 312-603-5660.

Private Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions
Basic wedding packages cost between $5000 and $8,500 depending on the day. Additional hours are $1000 each. Please see cost schedule for further details.

The Events and Facilities Management Division oversees day-to-day building management and markets the magnificent Chicago Cultural Center as an outstanding facility for private events.

The building's unique spaces are both beautiful and versatile. Individuals, arts groups, and corporations hold special events at the Chicago Cultural Center, including receptions, parties, banquets, and meetings. Revenues help sustain building operations and support free public programming.

Contact your county courthouse and they will give you all of the information you will need to get married at City Hall. The basic information you may have to ask about (in case you get stuck with someone new) is where exactly do you need to go to apply, license requirements, duration of waiting period before you can pick up the license after applying, days the ceremony is performed and total fees required.
