I trust my instict: if it seems wrong, it is. Basic stuff: don't harming other human beings physically or emotionally, be honest, respect the earth. And don't eat mushrooms of Thursday. Ever. That's a mortal sin. I'm sure of it.

Regarding spirituality, I trust my brother more than anyone. And, my dearest friend. These are the same 2 people I trust with all aspects of my life and heart and soul.
I have spiritual guides, but I don't necessarily trust them. I asses everything I receive from them; and also run it by my brother.

I'm not concerned enough about morality to give it any thought.

I do not let anyone tell me that I cannot know truths and imagine myths for myself. I do not let anyone tell me that I cannot achieve for myself or that I must permit a temple or church to make up my mind about self and world for me. I accept useful ideas should these come to me from a mosque, temple or a church. However, I was not born a spiritual slave. I am the authority who distinguishes between what is true and untrue, what is spiritual and unspiritual. It is so easy to just let authority figures tell me what to believe and how to live my life. It is much easier than consciously choosing the journey of self-discovery and self-knowledge, a journey that can be very rocky indeed.

Hey Jim.

I have the guide.
I trust no man.
I follow no man.
OLAY!

This is the guide I trust.
I'll share this with you.

Here it is---are you ready-----1 John 2:27 And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

This is me.

How about that DON?

Myself first and those I love and trust also. When we are sometimes embedded too deeply into a situation where we are blinded to aspects of it then I will rely on the judgment of those I love and trust in my family and friends.

Me, and me alone. However, my morality is a somewhat obscure mix of deontology and utilitarianism with a healthy dose of egoism in it (if I'm looking out for my own interests, I haven't time to interfere in someone else's, after all).

I determine both. I may draw from outside sources, but I'm the one who eventually uses the information or leaves it behind.
