Very popular in the UK. At its best just now. Got some growing in the garden - may just go get some for tea, melted butter and freshly ground pepper - yum.

No bloody Americans!! Now you think you own corn on the cob! We don't just call it corn, like some idiot wrote.

Its corn on the cob. We only eat it when it is in season, like now. Unless you go to a harvester! Otherwise we eat tons of sweet corn.

Not by a long chalk! We have been eating corn on the cob for as log as I can remember and as it it the season, we have had it as a starter twice in the past week. Here's a question where do you start eating it at the end or in the middle?

i'm not english but been living here for the last 5 years and i love corn on the cob (i'm from south africa)
here in essex, people kill for fish and chips. the school kids i used to each used to have a unanimous vote that fish and chips is britians staple food. this is when we talked about foods that french people are famous for....
well, where i live there certainly aint no shortage of fish and chip shops...one on every bleeding corner.

It's marketed as a kind of BBQ food here (cue downpour!) M&S do one with a lime and chili butter, which is a bit icky to be honest. Plain old butter's the best garnish.

i'm cooking some immediately. The early corn is waiting and we had rain in June, so that's good corn, yet i don't recognize if we receives previous due corn as we've had a lengthy dry spell with a minimum of 10 more beneficial dry days in accordance to the elements rfile. that's 2 for a dollar. What does BQ advise? :-) wager area 2 of the question. No, i do not positioned sugar or salt in the water when I cook it, yet I positioned quite some butter, salt and pepper on it before I eat it.
